2010 Risborough Team Lent Course
When I survey ... Christ’s Cross and ours
The death of Christ is a dominant and dramatic theme in the New Testament. So it’s not surprising that, over the centuries, the Cross has become the symbol of the Christian faith. Jesus’ crucifixion gives rise to many themes including: the place of silence in our noisy world; despair and hope; a suffering world; the challenge of living as disciples when Christianity is no longer mainstream. The sessions are as follows…
February 25th - Darkness at Noon, St. Mary’s, Princes Risborough
March 4th - Into Great Silence, St. Dunstan’s, Monks Risborough
March 11th - The Child on the Cross, St. John’s, Lacey Green
March 18th - Outside a City Wall, Holy Trinity, Bledlow
March 25th - Touching the Rock, St. Mary’s Princes Risborough
All sessions start promptly at 8.00 pm (with coffee served from 7.45) and will finish by 9.30 pm.
We hope to see as many people as possible for some or all of these evenings. The course includes a booklet (cost £3) which needs to be ordered, so please can you let Gill Healy in the St. Mary’s Parish Office know by e mail parishoffice@stmarysrisborough.org.uk or telephone (01844 273300) by February 15th if you would like to come.
With blessings,
The clergy and staff of the Risborough Team
