Marriage Preparation Days

Whichever one of our beautiful churches you have chosen to celebrate your Christian Marriage, you will have the chance for preparation which is relevant to you both as you approach your wedding day, and for a lifetime afterwards. The Risborough Team have prepared a Marriage Enrichment Course which has run for many years and is seen as "highly relevant" and "user friendly". Our hope is that, as you face helpful sessions including 'hopes and fears', 'levels of communication' and many others, you will be prepared for the future and have the resources to work with as you commit yourselves to a lifelong relationship of learning and growth. The course includes lunch and refreshments with evaluation from all participants - evaluation which is taken seriously by the team clergy and other lay helpers on the course.

Discussing ideas on communicating that had not previously been considered. Everything: communications, values, family life!

The one thought I take away from today

Remembering to listen to each other and spend quality time. Kids sound like a challenge that I would like to take on someday! Other opportunities are taken for preparation within the individual parishes as we work with our couples - but we highly recommend this Team preparation day.
